Instance is a subclass of the Element object (../Element_object/element_summary.md).

#### Property summary

In addition to all of the Element object properties, Instance has the following properties:

| instance.instanceType (../Instance_object/instance.md) | Read-only; a string that represents the type of instance. |
| instance.libraryItem (../Instance_object/instanc1.md) | Library item used to instantiate this instance. |
